I can only assume the people proclaiming this to be " a great chippy " or " the best in the northwest " are either friends and family of the staff and owner or have only ever had fish and chips from here! Second time I've been, second time I've been disappointed. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was tiny (possibly a stickle back or similar) with hardly any batter on it and got a miniscule amount of nearly cooked chips for 4.90! There won't be a third disappointment from here! People who think this is a good fish and chip shop need to broaden their horizons
